what makes no sense is we have refineries! this news blerb from a day ago says alot.
u just need to realize that alaska doesnt care about its people. its more then gas prices. its heating oil also, and people need that to get thru the winter. our leaders just care about getting kick backs for themselves. and could care less about the peeons

And this is something new? He who has the gold makes the rules and that is why they have protests and riots etc......power in numbers.
Interesting map showing the total taxes by state...
Indiana is one of the highest because our state collects 7% sales tax on it...so that is a variable tax based on the per gallon price...the interesting thing about that tax is they instituted it when the state sales tax was 5% and the per gallon price was $1.50...or about $0.07 or $0.08 per gallon tax...fast forward about a decade...our state sales tax is 7% and the per gallon price is ~$3.25 or about $0.23 per gallon tax...and when the price was near $4.00...it was ~$0.28 per gallon.
The sales tax per gallon adds roughly $350,000,000 to the state of Indiana revenue numbers...There is NO WAY the state is going to complain about that kind of windfall at our expense!!!
'Mornin Michael, Yeah it was in the 3.6xx's at the start of the month. I don't pay attention to the diesel prices, I don't buy it, but I do make it, about 125,000 barrels a day. Thats 5,250,000 gallons a day, but I can only take credit for half of that working a 12 hour shift!
5 minutes later.........
Duh! I just got it, I forgot that I was a liar! Hey it's early and I'm just finishing one of those 12 hour shifts.
well they been saying that it would cost to much to update these refineries the us has an that the us has not built a new one in over 30 years. plus with obama in control gas prices has went up a lot since he has been in office hopefully when he leaves maybe we can get them lower an do the keystone pipeline an things like that.
I just filled up this morning in Kodiak....
Regular unleaded was 4.24
I require Premium Unleaded (supercharger) so it was $4.54
Diesel was still higher at $4.74
So I am still glad I got rid of the 6.0 diesel, and very happy I only have a 12 minute, 7 miles commute. The most here in Kodiak I ever got with the diesel was 14.6 mpg... This tank I got 8.9 with the V-10. And When you have a supercharged V-10, it is hard not to "get on it"....
