Yes and no,
I was more so referring to the many reasons over the years that the analysts give for the higher gas prices.
for example when the price of gas was $1.50 a liter the line given was barrel of crude is $135
when the price of crude started to drop, the pricing didn't reflect the drop, the line given was market demand is still high
further price drop in crude, pricing still not proportional to the drop, line given was some large US based refinery was down for maintenance
Somewhat simplified but you get my drift

I just saw Diesel at $2.12 and my wife just paid $1.89 for gas. While I love the prices, it does make me hurt for the oil workers. My dad was impacted due to wells being shut down, and had to find alternative work...
It is hard to be happy yet sad for those whose livelihood has been impacted.

all my inlaws in the oil industry in texas just got laid off... bunch of guys i know on the slope in alaska got laid off looks like we will get some good fuel prices.
