Approx $3.40 (90 cents/Litre) for 87 octane in the city

I can't believe how much cheaper the gas is in the US. The "reasons" we get from our overseers about the higher gas prices in Canada change every week.

What a joke...

I was more so referring to the many reasons over the years that the analysts give for the higher gas prices.

for example when the price of gas was $1.50 a liter the line given was barrel of crude is $135

when the price of crude started to drop, the pricing didn't reflect the drop, the line given was market demand is still high

further price drop in crude, pricing still not proportional to the drop, line given was some large US based refinery was down for maintenance

Somewhat simplified but you get my drift

Was in Detroit last weekend and saw $1.29. Was there with the high school hockey team I coach and wasn't able to get a pic while on the team bus. But I swear it was $1.29!

Merged this new thread with the old one we've had going for a few years.

I just saw Diesel at $2.12 and my wife just paid $1.89 for gas. While I love the prices, it does make me hurt for the oil workers. My dad was impacted due to wells being shut down, and had to find alternative work...

It is hard to be happy yet sad for those whose livelihood has been impacted.
