just woundering what u doing for a fuel to feed this thursty beast?
I'll be drilling out the 1/8 pt fitting to flow more. I'm going to run it the same as I am now with the reg return and see how it does with the single stock pump and hold enough pressure at sustained WOT. If not then I'll just go with a dual stock pump setup. I shouldn't have to, the injectors aren't all that much bigger than what I have now.

It's just something to tinker on in my spare time lol
If I had a garage I would be doing something like this right now since I'm on vacation (unemployment) it's been a week and boredom is starting to kick in, hey ziggy need a hand I've got more spare time than 6 guys on this thread put together lol
You don't need a garage lol. When I was in college, we weren't allowed to work on anything in our rooms....although we did. I helped my roommate build a 350 and a 383 stroker......in our bathtub.
You don't even need a garage, all you need is nice weather most of the time. Sometime you have to deal with whatever you have!
Assuming Cory doesn't mind, I will add a little candy to the thread. Here are a couple in my days of never having a garage. I still can't wait to have one lol.
Building a 281 for my 01 Mustang in college.
Left my 01 GSXR with my Mom while in Alaska. She lived in a bad part of Atlanta and would rather have it right in the middle of her living room than outside. She is a wonderful mother.
Rebuilding my truck in the summer of 09. No one had a garage to lend me so I just went for it on the side of the road.
Lol the pictures are great I had a Sonoma that I replaced the head gasket it, and go figure it rained every day I was working on it in 40 degree weather lol. I don't think my wife would be to happy about an engine on the kitchen she's mad enough about my 36x14.5 being stacked up in there lol I don't have much room and live in an apartment for now. Ziggy what are you running for a trans to hold up to that power your gonna be making?
It's all good Alex lol been there done that too bro.
John, I've got a 6spd so its not a big deal, i'm already running a southbend dual disk.
I already put down 508/933 with the motor I have now, and that was on 7.5 cylinders lol. Although this motor wont be alot more power, the cam and ported heads and tuning will broaden the power range a whole lot and will be a faster truck with a much more useable powerband, and run alot cooler and more efficient as well
I really am watching your every move. So far great job !! But I have a few questions I hope you don't mind answering. I myself have built many motors over the years, but I have never done a diesel. Road race, street and the last few years for myself and friends marine engines. So my question is
Stage 1 performance cam : Who makes it? What lift and spec?
Termy twins : What is this?
My custom intake manifolds: Who makes or did you fab and to what spec?
New intake and exhaust valves: What brand, size and what angle of valve seat are you going with? Also who carries 7.3 diesel engine hard parts. Like jegs or summit I would use for gas engines. And here in NW Indiana we have a great Hi Pro parts store VanSenus and VSI warehouse I use. I thank you for your time and keep up the good work. I want to see all the photos that you are willing to post. I would really like to see the port job.
Keep up the goood work !!
Cory,I've heard how fast you are at changing out the engine in your truck.Just wondering if you could post pics of how you put the zipper on the bell housing?
Looking good bro!Keep the pics coming.
EDIT:Would like to see how the ported heads look,Please!
Sweet!!
So does that mean the engine in your truck now will be at the RRE-11 swap meet?? I'll be there early, if you can swap a motor in 2 days, that'll leave me a couple days to spend with the wife!
I'll have my hired hand with me too, he'll be twice the size, and he's getting pretty good with hammers and wrenches!!
Looking forward to seeing the progress pictures and seeing it run in Newport!!
