Believe it or not, you are exactly on track! The P51 is owned by Erickson Air Museum in Madras Oregon. For $2300 you can go for a 20 minute flight in her. we've been to the museum a number of times. A lot of historical aircraft and many you can go for a flight in if you are rich enough.
They had the P51 at the Oregon International Airshow that was held over the weekend in McMinnville Oregon. The Red Tail came about when they contracted with a Movie Production company that was filming some documentary shows and a move on the Tuskegee Airmen. Last summer when we went to the museum they had a number of aircraft from a B25 to a Corsair and FW all painted up ins some authentic WWII squadron colors for4 various shows being filmed.
These guys and gal were there as well....Haven't had time to download all of the pics to the computer yet.....busy getting Bravo compound winterized and getting ready to go on a hunting trip to Hells and Joseph Canyon areas of Oregon.
