It was in the early 80`s so I`m a little foggy , but I do remember it was about 100 miles south of Timmons on 144. Had a sign that said last gas for 100 miles and it was !

After asking my buddy who was on all of the trips over a 20 year span ; he thought it was on 11 because he remembers us buying our fishing licenses there . I hate gettin old
I moved up here from Toronto back in 79 and there was several interesting places that I wished I had stopped to take a look around and figured I would when heading back down that way only to find they disappeared...lol snooze you loose..

He’s probably right.. lots of places like that on 11, not so much on the 144… Were you up fishing / hunting?
