Here is an option for you trailer haulers that don't want to wait.
I picked up a small 2.4Ghz wireless camera with night vision LEDs and a small color monitor. It also comes with an adjustable mount. I added some strong magnets to the mount and just stick the camera on the tailgate of my current Sport-Trac to view the ball as I hook up the trailer. Works great. Works on the back of the trailer too. The thing has a couple hundred foot range and works well even at night. Both the camera and the monitor are rechargable and the set was about $129 at SAM's club. Not waterproof so it is only good for a temporary installation and then back into the glove box.
The Sport-Trac is going bye-bye when the new truck gets here with the tailgate cam so I will be adding a Lockpick then and hopefully they will have updated the Lockpick by then but this might help some of you out.
FYI - there's another USB update out there for the lockpick, no specifics provided.
2/24/11 - Latest update for the FORD SYNC LOCKPICK version 2.3 - Continued advancement includes new support for 2011 vehicles.
I just installed a lockpick Sync-LP1 in my 2011. It is V2.3z.
Despite what the instructions say, in the set up it first asks if you have a factory rear camera. If you answer yes, it is supposed to skip to DVD in motion question. What it does instead is it then asks if you want to add a second camera? Y/N? This leads me to beleive that if you want to add a second camera, it will work while keeping your factory tailgate cam. Would have to confirm with lockpick to be certain.
They have never made it clear when and if they would support a second camera with the factory camera installed. The prompt that you see was also in the version I bought in December. That version does not support a second camera. Let us know what you find out.

Marauder's right, I think it's a default setting... Definitely post back if you contact them though, this issue's been stale for a while.
I've been waiting for an update on this as well. I want to mount a camera on the back of the long trailer and one inside the trailer. LockPick said they were working on it and I expected a solution by now. At this moment however, it's a no go.

Epic, isnt it true you can install 2 of their cameras, or the 1 factory?
And, has anyone actually tried a second camera with the factory installed....

That's the way I understand it but I don't want to give up the factory camera. I just want to add a couple of cameras to the existing OEM system via whatever hardware. I know it's a tall order and I wouldn't be waiting around for it except the guy at Lockpick said they'd have the feature out soon.
Technically, the features of the LockPick are good enough to justify purchasing. I just don't want to get one and then find out I have to upgrade to get the extra cameras support.
There is a couple more enhancements I would like to see from them. First, INCREASE the Nav input time from 60 seconds to at least 90. By the time you start entering the street address it kicks you out because the 60 second timer expired. For those of us who live nearby another state, sometimes your destination is in the other state. You need to change that first and then go through the rest of the address.
Second, allow voice activation. You manually hold the phone button to get their menu to pop up. Why can't it be done with the voice feature?
Finally, it would be great if the system can be configured on a page in the unit instead of toggling through all the questions.
