I think you have to be a paying member to post attachments. I use photobucket.com and load them there. I then use the direct link url they provide for the picture and do the "" (without the "") to post the picture.
Just checked the lock pick website and noticed two small changes to their Ford lockpick... first change now says "updated for 2011" and further down the page it says "for use with front and rear cameras".
Not much of a notice that they have launched the new lockpick many of us have been waiting on but I guess it is finally in production! The video does show it using a front and rear camera also.

Looks like the price is the same as the single camera model. Tried to call them but there was no answer.
Both of those were on their site when I ordered. I actually thought that it did support the front camera and the factory rear. When I called them, they said it did not. They also gave me a song and dance avoiding my questions on when the 2 camera system would be available.
This is a definite step forward. It looks like the 2nd camera input is designed for a cabled camera. We'll have to figure out how to enable a remote camera on the back of a trailer.

Maybe the real update is still pending then. When I talked to the rep, he said the new version will allow multiple extra cameras. This must not be that version.
Yep. The lockpick will allow you to add an additional camera even if you have a factory camera. The updated version is out. I'll be installing mine this weekend. Just searching the net to find out how the dash comes apart.
Where and how do you buy the lockpick?
BTW w/love to meet at the next GTG to compare notes....
Hey guys, why couldnt you simply buy 2 cameras from lockpick and put them where you want? With lockpick activated, you have your 2 camera's. with lockpick de activated, you have your factory tailgate cam.

If I remember correctly, the issue is that when you purchase the Nav radio either standalone or as part of a bundle, it comes with the factory camera (option 76V is required). I think they have not done the necessary programming to support this configuration. If you bought two LockPick cameras, the unit's software won't support it.
There also may be a cabling issue that needs addressed to keep the factory unit plugged in while you add an additional camera. From Epic's message, it sounds like they are working on not just 1 additional camera, but to support multiple cameras.
Will installation of Lockpick void warranty on NAV or Sync system?
Good question. I know that the LockPick can be "de-installed" through their programming. If you were to go into the shop for warranty work on a non functional display, they obviously will see the LockPick device and cabling. Even if it is removed, unless you de-installed it, the programming will be there but not viewable unless you left the LP unit in there and they knew how to activate it.
One thing I did notice today. With the Lockpick installed, the camera delay no longer works. The camera turns off immediately when the truck is shifted out of Reverse. It's not a huge deal because you can use the Lockpick if you want to continue viewing the camera.

I hadn't noticed that, but you're right. There was a few second delay or until the truck moved forward a few mph.

Morning Deere,
Been wanting to say that. LOL
Just wondering if the factory camera just defaulted back to the no delay option. Maybe if you go into the display menu for the camera and reset the delay option it would stay on a little bit longer, if you haven't already done so.
Here is an option for you trailer haulers that don't want to wait.
I picked up a small 2.4Ghz wireless camera with night vision LEDs and a small color monitor. It also comes with an adjustable mount. I added some strong magnets to the mount and just stick the camera on the tailgate of my current Sport-Trac to view the ball as I hook up the trailer. Works great. Works on the back of the trailer too. The thing has a couple hundred foot range and works well even at night. Both the camera and the monitor are rechargable and the set was about $129 at SAM's club. Not waterproof so it is only good for a temporary installation and then back into the glove box.
The Sport-Trac is going bye-bye when the new truck gets here with the tailgate cam so I will be adding a Lockpick then and hopefully they will have updated the Lockpick by then but this might help some of you out.
