Backup Camera

Ford put the back up camera in the rear view mirror. Is there a way to disable it?

Obviously the engineer never backed a trailer at night with a light shining in his face. There should be a way to turn it off and on with out "pulling the system fuse".

I could not agree more. Umm. I keep a sock in the console and throw it over the mirror when it blinds me.

but then again I almost never use the rear view when backing the trailer. Almost all side mirrors.
