I selected the word "eluded" specifically. I asked the same question multiple ways to see if they would tell me if they were going to build it.
First question: "Are you guys planning on building a unit that will support a second camera if the Ford truck has one factory installed?"
Answer: "We have entertained the possibility but have not made a commitment to do so."
Intermission: Small talk on the Ford Lockpick capabilities.
Second question: "A lot of Ford truck drivers with this Nav system are looking for the second camera capability, you know so they can hook it up to the back of their trailer. Don't you think your company would be interested in developing this option given the fact that most of the new trucks have a camera already?"
Answer: "We are considering it, however at this time the Ford Lockpick does not support a second camera with a factory installed camera."
Intermission: Questions and answers on how to activate options using the phone key on the truck.
Third question: "Really sorry to hear that the current unit won't support a second camera. I think I will hold off on ordering to see if it becomes available in the future. Would you cancel my order?"
Answer: "Sir, we frequently offer USB updates that may incorporate the features you are looking for."
You guys are crackin me up with the whole elude allude thing..lol....
Let me give you guys an alterior option. Buy a tailgate handle with the camera in it and build something to mount the handle to and then proceed to mount it to the trailer and run your wires to the trailer connector area and order the exact connector that the tailgate plugs into and whala..you now have a camera that works as you want it to.

most want multiple active cameras... view the hitch (and normal backup issues) AND behind the trailer, AND also in the bed for 5th wheel/GN hitches
this is the problem they want Lockpick to solve. you can do it yourself with the approach you have described AND some additional switch & wiring.
Just spoke with lockpick today and the person I spoke with said they have a new Ford 460 unit coming out in January (next month). The new unit is supposed to allow you to add an additional camera with the factory one. I asked about pricing, but he wouldn't give me any infomation.
Finally they have decided to listen to what is needed!!!
