This would be very simple if you have a current lock pick, a relay and a switch.

Well I ordered my lockpick last Saturday and installed it this morning. It works like a charm! I wish the navigation side worked without additional input from the phone button, but it does what it is supposed to so I won't complain too much.

One interesting thing I saw when setting it up was even after it asked me if I had a factory camera and I answered yes, it asked if I would be adding another camera as well. The question is, have they actually made this possible or does the system just go through this step no matter what you answer to the presence of a factory camera?

It goes through that step regardless of whether you have the factory cam or not. Lots of us waiting on that additional camera functionality though.

Update: I spoke with the lock pick folks last week and re-confirmed their intention to add the ability to view not just one extra camera, but 3 or 4 extra cams. Wouldn't it be cool to cycle through the behind-the-trailer cam, then the inside-the-trailer cam, then the under-the-trailer cam, then the nanny, etc? They said just watch their website for updates.

That many cameras, I would mount one outside the front windshield looking in, so I could see how cool I am driving this truck.

Anyway, I will have to wait (as bad as I want a backup cam on my 5'er) until Ford figures out what they will do with my truck.

Hey, if I can look cool driving this truck, anyone can. And this from a seriously ADD computer geek, closet high energy particle physicist and string theorist, wanna-be aeronautical engineer, macro-economist and would-be solver of current political conundrums, and part-time wood whittler.

I sincerely hope the company-sponsored rumor turns out to be true. It would be awesome to have one behind and inside the trailer. I've always wanted to see how the tie-downs are holding all the machines in place.

I got around to installing my Lockpick tonight. Install was easy. Mine asked me the same thing as 720Deere, but it sounds like a second camera wouldn't be possible yet. Works great!!!

Well... I can't figure how to remove the trim. I tried putting a flathead screwdriver into the slots at the bottom of the 12V plug cover and Sync cover but when I start to pry them up they don't seem like they are going to give. I've had my Lockpick since Christmas and its still in the box... I really don't want to trash my dash. I wish someone would post a video or give some detailed instructions on how to get the trim off without damaging it.

Those trim pieces don't give up easily. I used a flat screwdriver in the slot but didn't pry as I was scared that would mess up the part of the dash I was prying against. I just stuck the screwdriver in the slot, angled it and pulled to pop the panels out. They don't come out without a lot of effort, but I don't think it would be easy to break anything.

The trick to removing them with no damage is not to pry but lift straight up and at the same time pull out - there are two spring clips on top of each unit that need to compress and then you will get the clearance on the bottom for them to come out with out damaging or breaking anything.

Up and out - insert flathead horizontally to ground, lift straight up (don't lever it, you will feel the clips compress), pull/slide/wiggle out.

Thanks to both of you! I did as you guys suggested and they popped lose. The only casualty was the plastic leash for the 12V cover... somehow I snagged it with the screwdriver when the cover came off. The Lockpick is now installed and the trim is back on without a problem. Really... thanks. I was nervous about messin' with the dash. I took some pics of the clips in the bottom of those cover plates and will post them soon. Hopefully they will help the next guy.
