What product are you using for this? It's something I have been interested in from day one. I wish Ford would include that option with the $1500 tailgate or whatever the crazy cost is with the camera.

It is very easy to remove the tailgate. It has the same hook system as the factory. Very nice well thought out little setup.

Why do you need to remove your tailgate with a 5th wheel?
Are Ford tailgates really that heavy? I thought they were counter-sprung, or is that only the 150?
If the 2011 tailgates are as heavy as the video shows - this will be the best bang for buck $50 you can spend on your truck.
The fuel tank and EZ-Down certainly were the two best things I did to my GMC

If I lower the tailgate to hookup my trailer, I can not hook to the hitch without the lowered tailgate hitting the trailer.... I would need to backup until the trailer pin box is within the bed area, close the tailgate, then backup the last 12-18"....
I usually get a tailgate with a "cut out" to allow the pin box to pass thru..... and swap out the gate when needed

This would not be something I want to do all the time. I hope it is not an issue with my new truck.
I always considered getting a pass though tailgate, and almost ordered one after my "auto level" auto leveled onto the tailgate and bent it a bit.
Not really considering especially since the new tailgate will have a camera
