If you're talking about the T, then yes i tend to agree with you sort of. Looks kind of like somewhere in the middle. Although my early one has held, so the hose manufacturer is probavly right, as long as the product is.correctly made! Things happen, now we can all do something about it.

I'm sure I have the Gates hose, not long after RRE09 when it was installed, no problems here. What I would suggest, is a fire or heat retardant wire loom around those hoses just because, I'm very safety conscience but with those SS braided hoses coming out you'll all be cool, and will compliment the engine compartment nicely not to mention the safety factor.. Great job Clay, wet farts happen, in this case you corrected it before it got messy, kudos to yaa.

Funny you mention the braided lines Mike, because in my experience i always use loom around those! The ss braided covering is very unforgiving and will quickly chafe any wire or hose.that contacts it, and even a hard line over time if you're not observant. So while i still use the ss braided hose i only use it if i think it's needed and depending on location. But the bling still gets covered. Most of the time i just use rubber and loom it.
I personally think braides line is overkill on his frx but i can understand why he would want to offer it. But in that area there's a potential for it to cause chafing issues so i would either not want it, or would want loom sent with it to cover it. There i go again offering my outlook without being asked.

You can blame it on on the hose manufacturer if they said it would hold, but sorry, even an uneducated idiot like me can see that's a bad design.
I agree..

They are def barb fittings and fitting couple hose clamps makes it all good..

If I'm not mistaken, the lines coming off the HPOP are SS braided lines, and they are covered with loom.

I see you point Keith, the chaffing issue has merit, no doubt. I've seen SS braided hoses with that outer clear rubber coating too thats a nice benefit but prolly more costly but I'm sure you could purchase that on your own if need be, all personal preference of course. I would suggest at the very least, plastic looming those bare rubber lines, my driverside FRx line rubbed against my oil pressure line and was starting to scratch or nic a bit. Another note, routing those lines properly and maybe a few zip ties wouldn't hurt, I did it to mine nicely.

Mine are SS too Pete but from the factory, there was never any plastic, rubber or any other coating on my HPOP SS braided lines. I just put some plastic loom over my driverside line just to be safe in conjunction with my FRx.

I just wanted to mention something I was thinking about. When installing the fuel pressure return block on the fuel bowl, it is difficult to get the spring on the seat and secure the return block to the fuel bowl. If the spring is not seated properly it will increase the fuel pressure on the FRX hoses. I know it is only a few psi, but it could contribute to the hoses blowing off. I could way off track here, but it something to look into. Wouldn't best way to check this be with a fuel pressure gauge.
