OT I got stuck in Rexburg last summer. We were on our way to Cabin Creek, MT and my wife saw a sign for Bear Country. That day was finished. Ended up at a camp ground in St. Anthony getting eaten alive by mosquitos.
What was the problem? None of the RV parks here looked good. I'm glad farm guy took us in.
If you have the tools available, this is cheap and effective.
Does the farmer have an air compressor?
Do you have a 5/16 fuel line disconnect tool ($15 from Autozone)?
If the clog is in the tank, blowing pressurized air (the compressor) in the line towards the tank (with the fuel cap off) will open it up.
Hint: when the line is disconnected from the pump, if little or no fuel is coming out of the line - clog.
Have you tried checking the fuel bowl for fuel flow already?
Farmer guy said he goes to work pulling potatoes at 8am. I hate to bother him anymore than we have, since it's pretty amazing he is letting us live in his driveway, hooked to his power. We, however, have a small air compressor on board and a hydraulic 12-ton bottle jack (like that helps).
It really feels like a sensor to me, and yes, only a woman would say "feels", right? Because the tech at the dealership said my oil psi was low by 100 (400 instead of 500, or something like that), and the fuel bursting... I don't know. Now that I think about it, I'm not so sure.

When it comes to CG's I think we are spoiled here in California. About all I can say that is good here now. There wasn't a problem, my wife just loves looking at the bears.

Tell me about it. We just went to Yellowstone, and while I was impressed (wow!), I felt a lot of that could be seen and enjoyed in my home state without as many people!
The tow company wanted to take us to St. Anthony. Bleh.
We are developing a plan of action for tomorrow. I guess my husband and farm guy unceremoniously dumped the truck, in an awkward place, at the dealership.
I meant to say thanks to all of you who responded so far. You've given me great ideas, and I'll continue studying this stuff for the next couple of hours.
Emergencys are always hard to figure out. Mine broke down 4 times like this before I droped the tank and found out someone while I was in Las Vegas dumped something into my tank that eat up the in tank filter etc. I cleaned and replaced what I could and it is now fine. You should replace the cps first I did but that wasn't it. I put in three fuel pumps till I finely got mad and droped the tank to see what the h---. There is a drain lever behind the fuel filter connected to it. Drain it, then have the wife or whoever turn the key on with the drain open. It won't take long to fill and then should pour out the drain, I mean pour. If it does it it ain't the pump If it doesn't then it could be the pump. At that point you could disconnect the full pump it is in the frame rail drive side blow air into the tank fuel cap off and see if it unpluges the line and retest. If it then flows it is a pluged line not the pump. At that point you have to deceide what action to take. I would drop the tank and clean it out but it is possible it could fix the problem good enough to get home, God Bless and good luck, Chet
This is the Autozone CPS. Once you get home you can contact Clay @ Riffraff and get the black one. Most of us carry a spare in the glove box.

Thank you! I think we will go pick up the part somehow in the morning. I need to call the dealership, and explain how our truck came to be sitting there like that... hmmn... then we will go to the dealership, and try installing the CPS, after checking the oil in the HPOP...
I really need a manual.
No on the manual, not all parts stores carry what we need. If its fuel try what I said. cps will shut engine off and a cheap fix but they useually go out once and don't restart. Sorry about the wife part, Your husband can wiggle the harness at the valve covers too, it is worth a try they do come loose. High pressure oil doen't happen to often that I here especilly on stock motors, But that is very costly and have the dealer fix it, your on the road if all else fails. If you had a scanner it would be easier for the guys on here forsure.Their are guys on here that really know their stuff. If you have the tools one day on your own trouble shooting could save $$. I wish you luck I've been their but these trucks are very reliable and safe, Chet
Since it is already at the dealership, see if it has had the CPS recall done. Might be able to get a free one to fix your problems. While you are at Auto zone get a multimeter so that you can take readings on your glow plugs, plow plug relay and injectors. This will help to eliminate a lot of problems.

Will do on the CPS Recall, and we already have a couple of multimeters, we just need to know where to poke at and what numbers to look for.
