Few thousand miles since the repair and thankfully still running good.
Most of the truck is impressive....but the quality control is lacking for a $50k+ Gas Pick Up.
Making a list to go to the dealer once I have enough bugging me. I am sure I will get the famous response...."can't duplicate customer concern" and be stuck with the pet peeves for ever. We shall see.

Another solution is ripping the engine apart to replace the failed parts.
Sorry you had a problem.. I would change the oil anyway... I love my new 6.2 F350, 2011, the engine runs so quiet. Put on 4000 miles in the first week...
That is what I thought, lifter noise when my 2011 F350 Lariat began to make a tapping noise...turned out to be a broken rocker arm, that took out the cam shaft! GET IT CHECKED OUT IMMEDIATELY!
Just got some bad news on my 350 Passenger van with the 5.4 in it. New Engine! At 15000 miles started having a real bad knock and using oil. I could see it at 15000 miles but not brand new. Did an oil change last week and it was a quart and a half low on oil. Checked it this week with about 1000 new miles on it and it was a half quart low. Come to find out there were metal shavings in the oil when we changed it.
Dealer says main bearings are gone and the rings and/or lifters are shot. I do not pretend to be a mechanic, but know it is not a good thing. Also don't know if this fits with the kinds of problems that you folks are discussing, but my point is, there appears to be some build issues with this engine.
Fortunately everything is warranty and I should have my van back next year. LOL.
I have a 2011 F350 6.2 . I had a knocking noise at 1400 miles and it was a bad rocker arm, I was also getting a misfire in cyl #7. now the truck has 2700 miles and its doing the same thing, the dealer is waiting on parts for a new rocker arm and cam shaft. I'm starting to have my doubts on this motor.
Definately not bashing the 6.2, as its an awesome motor........ BUT.... I have worked on a very problematic 2011. I would fire it up in the shop and it would just die. It had the tick, haven't heard back from the owner yet.
On a side note, all the Raptors I've seen have been flawless, no complaints.
I had mine in the shop again this week. It seems that stocks of rocker arms are now readily available as I got the truck back the next day instead of 46 days later. The shame is they only stock parts that turn over.
First time was #6.
#3 this time, codes P0303 and P0316. Parts replaced AL3Z-6564-A AND AL3Z-6564-E, 5568 miles on the POS. Already 2 trips and 48 days in dealer. Average 1 week in repair for each month of ownership. I have the confidence in this truck that it shall break again.

Did the check engine light actually come on? Or were these codes pulled by the technician? My truck ticks, but the oil is like clear (2000 miles). I'm bringing it in next week, and am dreading the call back.... "Oh, that's normal"

The first time there was no check engine light, but it definitely sounded like a flat lifter.
The 2d time I noticed a miss, then left the door open the next time I started it and heard a gentle clicking. I was thinking that I should take it in to the dealer and when I started home that day the check engine light came on. While being repaired they applied TSB 10 25 07.
