Theres nothing wrong with the existing harness. Everything works fine.
The problem is nothing is being used from the factory harness except the headlights, turn signals, brake lights and the ignition key switch. Maybe a couple of other things Im missing but nothing major.
The MSD, fuel pump, gauges, switches, radio and electric fans are all on a seperate stand alone fuse system.
Is it really that big of a deal to have the other wires there? Try taking the harness out of a 96 truck. The 70s trucks have very few wires. Not like youll be saving any noticable weight. Youre just tryin to be cool like me and go full on autometer.
Clutter pisses me off Cheet-hoe. Even when its behind the dash where I cant see it.
Paul, if you walk up to Bobbys scrap yard with 3oz of copper wire Id be happy to give you the proceeds. That is assuming he doesnt slap you up side the head for being a Nigerian and refuse to pay you.
kris, if you do start from scratch with a new fuse block take a lot of pics and if you wouldn't mind make a half arsed diagram of what you did plz. i have scratch wired a bunch of amps, stereos, and lights, but i've never tackled a whole rewire. i know there is a lot of wires that are 1. going to nothing and 2. they are 30some g/d years old and could probably use replaced anyways. i have a spare full harness, but i doubt it's in any better shape than whats currently cobbled together in the truck, oh and it's still 30+ year old crap.
So Alltel got bought out in our area by AT&T, fine, they give us new BlackBerry s, sweet. Free upgrade!
Well crousing in my work truck, n have to run some unfamiliar areas due to washed out/flooded roads.
New Blackberry mind you, just activated, so I go to open Blackberry Maps so I can see where I am on some gravel roads and how far I have to hit pavement, n plan a route, no blackberry maps!
Look, n they have a map app, click, and they want to charge me for it. **** that!
Look in my apps list, n its listed as installed on the phone, so I look into it, n its missing a module, so go to install the module, n a error pops up.
Than all the stuff I deleted off my phone to clear up space is back! Wtf!
So, I'm going to try some other stuff when I can plug this into the computer, and if I can't get it to work, I'm going to go down to the store and let them have a piece of my mind!
O and it pops up "we are sorry we are closing this page it is too large to load" when I'm on this forum. It closes the page n I re open it, and it works fine for a bit. That's a bunchh of bs, I'm not too happy right now.
