thanks to this lovely winter weather i now have a bent control arm or hopefully just a rim. a 5-10 mile section of interstate 80 is riddled with huge 3-4'' deep potholes in all lanes, like hitting a minefield at 70mph. least i didn't fare as bad as some people. i saw a small enclosed trailer being pulled out of the ditch. it didn't roll, but it looked like it lost two tires on the one side. that stretch of road is down right brutal right now.
yep, has a nice new vibration to irritate the **** out of me. can't wait to put that car out to pasture. it runs great, its just not something worth putting money into.
I hate that I can never have a happy medium with progress on my wheeler, I either have plenty of money and no time or like now I have all the time in the world and no money to get much accomplished. Last winter when I started it I had enough time and enough money but that didn't last real long. I have bought almost everything I need except the doubler and the nickle and dime things that go with every project. Need to sell a front dana 60 and 5.38 gears....
he doesn't want a 60, he wants to build his goofy ridgerunner dana 514 bolt front axle cause he saw it on extreme 4x4 and pirate. he showed me the thread on pirate about doing it, and it looks goofy as hell to put square knuckles on a round axle tube, but hey, i guess if you got the parts and time go for it. still looks horrible, and idk where you would put spring perches without a lot of bootyfab and booger welds.
Know what I hate, yet at the same time get a huge chuckle?
idiots who try to sell things used on Craigslist for more money than someone can buy it new.
A while back I saw a $100 Harbor Freight gift card with a 20% coupon for $110. It was listed as a $120 value. Evidently I need to start selling my stack of coupons for $8 to corner the market.
People made fun of him until he deleted the posting.
In other news...
Did you guys know you can get Crown labels (regular, black and reserve only since they are the ones with printed lables) printed to say anything you want?...FOR FREE? Pretty cool deal. Were getting them for all the Crown bottles at the wedding. They'll also do bags for all 5 bottles for $10 each so I got a handful of those also.
