I had the guys out for 6 hrs the other night, four trucks, tow giant spreaders in the beds of two of them, three plows, one crew truck with 3 guys, and me driving dad's v10 with plow all for <1" of snow while he sat his *** on the couch/slept because he went and fell off a ladder and now he's baby back biotchin it up 
He's def milking this for all it's worth. Making me run the show and have all the headaches while still getting paid like someone that works for the guy that gets paid to have the headaches of it.

i still have to go out in it though.
i can't sit at home and let everyone else do all the work, i feel guilty not being out there with the guys.
the only difference is, at 55 years old, i no longer get out of the truck and use a shovel or snow blower. that is reserved for the under 25 crowd.

Well we didn't end up pushing snow. And no the paycheck doesn't get much better, only adds up to about another day's worth of work for me, which isn't much when you make minimum... but by the looks of things maybe we shoulda pushed a little. We had less than an inch, but the drifts are nearing a foot in some areas on the runway. Ohwell, its my uncle's call anyway, and I guess he decided not to push yet.

And Dan, I hope that when you get your news it will turn out to be not so bad as they first thought it was. I hope the best for ya man, I know what its like to get bad news, and have to wait on top of it.

thanks man. wife could possibly have the big c word in her lady parts. on the bright side, and as bad as it sounds, we are done having kids so i guess if she does have it they can just take all that stuff out and save me a trip to get a vasectomy. i hope all is well down there, it is a big part of my attraction to her

if that is the case, it is not a big deal these day Dan. within the past 10 years all 3 of my sisters have had the same diagnosis, and surgery to remove those parts. it is a simply one day deal.

just kind of sucks. every other month there is some ****ty news that comes our way. makes it hard to be happy and optimistic about anything.
