If the tires stuck out three inches less I would like it.

makes me think of the mexican trucks i see with 10'' wide rims and 20'' tall tires. goofy, like something stepped on it and squished it down and out.

Going to have to get some SRWD hubs. That will bring them in 4" each side. Pricey so it will have to wait a while.

I wouldn't say useless wider would be more stable. Less likely to roll over. Right?

D50 hubs should work to swap it over to a srw axle.

Yes wider is less prone to tipping, BUT there is a point that it looks ridiculous. Especially with the dually fenders on the back.

Go to the JY, find 4x4 F250, preferably ex cab, acquire hubs from D50 TTB.
Install on your D60... problem solved.

That is the plan when the time come but I am somewhat new to this so I have to ask. Are the d50 hus as strong as the 60's? It is the 60 solid axle that is stronger and the hubs are the same? The calipers and rotors I have will work with the d50 hubs? D50 has 8 lugs?

D50 came on every x-cab and crew cab F250 from the early 80's til 97. Regular cabs are D44's. And yes, the D50 is 8 lug

D50 and 60 hubs are the same part, no difference at all.
