those springs look painful.

might as well weld a 4x4 beam in place of them....accomplishes the same thing for much less.

Got one, that pic was taken while I was in the middle of it all. And I know about the crossover its on the list but I don't have a kingpin D60 so the cost is to high for that right now.

Right now I want to get past the shocks. A friend suggested to weld a bolt to the plate that is on top of the leaf spring and go up the the frame from there.

Idk, But you*should* have around 7 inches of backspacing on the front wheels to make them sit the same as the rears. I think........... I could be remembering wrong.

For shocks, Superduty fronts are much longer and will pretty much bolt in... I bought a set of 6" superduty fronts to put on my 86 as my parts guy couldn't find a listing for 6" shocks for my truck... I moved the stock shock bracket up so the bottom hole on the bracket is bolted to the top hole in the frame, my axle is ahead of stock, so the shocks are at an angle, and I still need much longer brackets.

^^^^^
that's how the shocks on my f350 were mounted. always figured it was stock, never paid too much attention to it, because the front springs barely moved. here's the best pic i have of it, looks like they did what you friend suggested and used an f250 shock bracket on the frame.

I am pretty sure it is 4" out on each side. I can go to a SRWD front hub to bring it in line with the rear but I want them out there right now. Its higher so wider is better for stability.
