If you just need a quick and dirty fix, they make an expanding rubber plug to plug a freeze plug hole. It's not a long term fix, but you really need to pull an engine to replace them all.
Rusted out freeze plugs is proof that the cooling system was not maintained on the vehicle.
he said he had the whole engine "overhauled" but with so much stuff going wrong im starting to question if they did it right, well it did sit for two years after they did it so idk.
ill get it fixed one of these days until then it will just have to sit.
i can not wait for this heat wave to pass so it will start feeling like autumn.
Or the last guy to replace them didn't know they make them out of brass, too.

I just saw a Power Block episode where the guys put loctite on the plugs to help seal them. He said it was controversial, but that he thought it was good insurance. I had never seen that done, but then when I was working on engines, Loctite was a rare item in the shop. Now the stuff comes in 50 flavors and is everywhere. I would probably use it. If nothing else, it will help lubricate the plug a bit as you drive it in.
Headed for the cowboy state this morning. You guys have a good one.
