So, basically you learned that women take all your money 75F350? Well, mine don't, but that's topic for another day. Weather's nice today. So how is everybody?

Good morning, Pat.

Gonna' be muggy and hot here today, Houston-kinda' weather, with thundershowers a possibility. Just what I needed today to prep my truck for a trip that begins Saturday.

We got home about an hour ago.

Going north, we got an average of 17.67 MPG between Whittier and Casper. I was driving exactly the speed limit, including the 80 MPH stretches in UT. I usually drive about 5 over, but my brother doesn't like to push his Cummins that hard. We were not caravaning, but we were keeping in touch. He got 18.5 on the same stretch, and said he would get over 20 if he slowed down a little.

That got me to wondering.

So leaving Casper yesterday morning I set the CC on 65 MPH, and drove that speed for an entire tank. We made it to St. George where we spent last night. That was 709 miles, 34.14 gals, and we got 20.77 MPG. The most I have ever put on a tank before was 600.

I can see that it pays to slow down.

Almost 21! Very nice!

I'll be going 55 all the way to Oregon Saturday in my 7.3 with that small enclosed utility trailer loaded to about 3K. I'll report back, too.

Run into any weather out on the desert, Bill?

Had you been on a trip since you got the VXCF9 flash, or was this the first one?

No, and the wind was light also. The wind can either help or kill mileage as you know, but it wasn't a factor at all. When we went north past the I-70 intersection, we could see the smoke from the fire but it was on the east side of the Wasatch. On the return, there were hot spots on the west facing slopes and the plume was laid out across the valley. Made for a nice sunset. If it had been dark I'm sure we would have seen the flames.

I have not got the new flash, Steve. Still have the original. Same as yours was until Bud flashed you recently.

Don't know why, but I had it in my head that your PCM was updated.

What do you have to fix? Sounds like they did exactly what you paid them to do. Well, more precisely, what your parents paid them to do.

It is pouring. Awesome.

Yeah it is.
OK, they were to install sprinkler's, they removed all the dead grass, and installed them, then they are goin' to lay down sod. They haven't done that yet.
Then, our house HAD 4 step's for the front patio (This house was built in 1929)
and it had a small little step, well my dad's GirlFriend decided she didn't like the little step, I think it was kinda cool. SO They removed ALL the concrete and messed up the porch, now they put in new Square step's, we wanted them round, and they didn't make them wide enough for our antique rod iron railing. The Garage door was supposed to be Brown, But it's white, I Like the white, you know women are...
I spent $90 on mine, AND I STILL didn't get any...
