The Conoco station on the west end of downtown, next to the Safeway, has a guy in his 80's that still does windows while filling your truck. His kids own stations from Barstow to Amarillo (or something like that). When I first talked to him I thought he might be one of the Whiting Brothers, but he wasn't quite THAT old. Nice old guy.
Last time I was in there, though, the gal behind the register told me that he hadn't been feeling well, and was "taking some time off".
