Coolant/trans flush

Im about to do a coolant and trans fulsh on my 01 7.3, how much coolant, vc-9 and mercon sp should i buy?

approximately 8 gallons of coolant. so if you get concentrated coolant you will need 4 gallons and then 4 gallons of distilled water

where can i buy shell rotella ELC? or any other heavy duty coolant?

Delo

I got the Delo ELC at my local tractor dealer, 16.50 a gallon for concentrate. Local CAT dealer would have the Cat ELC, just look for heavy equipment places and you will find it I am sure.

I have a kubota dealer, and john deere dealer close by, the cat dealer is an hour and a half away, so scratch that.

try them

i would give the tractor guys a call, i bet they have some flavor of ELC on the shelf. heavy truck shops would have it too, maybe even in 55 gallon drums, they might fill 4 milk jugs for you and save a few bucks.
