are these gauges factory or scangauge ,I useally let the truck temp up eot around 75/78deg and coolent uaeally follows less a few deg trans temp once circulated will come up within min. some body else will chime in to set us right to the tranny temp gauge.
The OEM tranny gauge is really just a glorified dummy light.

I'm quite certain that someone posted the temp ranges of the OEM gauge several years ago.
Edit:
I found the thread I was looking for:

The Coolant gauge isn't all that precise either. It's like a cold, warm, somewhere in the middle, and then over heating
The oil pressure "gauge" is a simple ON/OFF pressure sensor.
< 7 PSI = "none" (check gage light on) > 7 PSI "ok" (check gage light off)
This is why the PSD bunch get the SG2 (or other ODBII gauges)
since we need to know what's happening.
EDIT: I know this has been speculated about before, but it does suddenly
seem really dumb to even bother putting gauges on the dash at all.
Especially since nearly every other manufacturer can put gauges with
actual values on their dashboards.
Disclaimer - my dad had a pacemaker and loved to tell me how many
years he managed to get out of each battery - like that was a good thing...
Imagine a FORD-branded pacemaker.
The "charge remaining" gauge would be either there's voltage or ..... oops
