Afternoon guys
Aaron what year is the KR.
The 03-04 were leaf front ends and the 05+ are coil over. The coil over's have a lot better turning radius's.
On a side note, maybe I will need to change my reg. at some point to combination to avoid all the problems with a trailer.
Jim I think I would just have to reg. at a lighter weight.
The way I see it comb's are good to 12,500 and my truck is rated at 13,000.
I just don't want to have to do smog checks but it looks like don't over 10,000.
I feel for you Andy.
It seems like a big hassle for someone like yourself who just wants to drive safe.
Some of the things I have seen, like middie excavators towing behind decrepit 1 ton SRW pickups scares the H#!! out of me.
there are certainly plenty of scary setups on the roads with us every day. the DOT officers only pull over the shiney well maintained trucks and give them tickets for having a marker light out.

I have combination plates on my pickup, its registered for 11,900. Just to throw a monkey wrench into your life, even if you have combo plates on your truck, if your dump trailer has commercial plates (not camper) you still have to play by CT DOT rules.
OK, OK before you beat me up too much. I know this is not a Jeep forum, but I have big tires on the Jeep. Was having some trouble with the balance so I got some Dyna Beads from Innovative Balancing. They are little white beads that feel like metal. Just pour them inside your tire and they do a dynamic balancing while you drive. Just tried them at 70 mph and balance vibration is gone.
