if i had an auto i wouldn't be where i am now b/c i wouldn't be able to afford it. here is your solution... ZF5 swap!!!!!!!

i'm going to send the shafts to get cryo'd to help prevent snapping the input shaft on 3rd gear drag strip launches.. LoL. don't wanna pull a Dan and go through 8 trannies in 1 season like he did this last year. haha

Ya I have wanted to do a swap for sooooooo long. But one of the stipulations for the truck being given to me was that it had to stay at a point that it can still plow snow. But as luck would have it i found an entire swap package for $600 and it has everything, pcm, tranny, slave and master, clutch, front drive shaft... everything. I'm thinking of picking it up just to have it all laying around at my disposal, becuase my next truck is going to be a play truck and its gonna be a standard whether i have to swap it or not.

NO, NO, NO, you bet it will be "kinda worth it"! Like I said before, if nothing else, its like money in the bank. Travis, Sam & I agree that you have talent. I know, your young, making money and having fun. Not a whole lot better then that, I know because I was one of the biggest Fu***** around. I am not for one minute saying your the F**** up, I'm saying I was. I really don't know how to say this because I joke around to much on here so I'll just say it. Make the sacrifice, go to school and make a career. You have the talent, you have proven that to me time and time again. School can be a lot of fun too. Then later on you will have ten times the money to build your dream truck. Your making me feel like a old man trying to give advise. Oh well, enough said!!

travis, i have to agree with glenn. im 22years old and i was in the same boat as you. 3 years ago i had a great job and was living on my own. i didnt see the need for college but i am so glad i did. it was alot of fun, met a bunch of friends and how have a bba that will help me for the rest of my life. im even going back for my masters in 2 years. i know looking that far ahead is hard but you will be glad you went, i was. even though my degree is sitting on my fireplace collecting dust haha but i know in the future it will be the best thing i ever did

egh.... maybe sometime, currently no... there is one thing i HATE about the thought of college. all the damn money it takes to go i will still be paying off years later and i HATE having a payment to something. thats why i won't go get a new truck. i know i could get a new truck tomorrow if i wanted to and pay the payment every month, but i hate having the payment to deal with. I'm sure that the after effects of having the education is a better trade off, but we will just have to see how things go in the future. another reason i didn't go is b/c of how sick i was of skool. i'm still sick of skool at this point so i won't be going at this moment. maybe i will be ready to do it sometime. See i'm just the kind of person that I HATE sitting in class and learning about things i have absolutely no interest in. thats why i considered UTI or Wyotech, but i don't wanna work on cars b/c that would ruin my hobby for me. anyways, still lots of thinking to do and even if i decide not to go i'm still in a job right now where i can retire when i'm 41 if i want. LoL

I avoided college till i was 24, and I'm kinda stuck there now till I can get something to pay for the loans I had to take out to go.

Do it while you can. =(

How the hell did masterbating get made as a Tag in our thread. WTF?!

Damit Glenn! Stop that CORN.

Any advice I give to kids, it works better cause were younger, old guys dont know anything when your 16.
Get good grades. I coulda had a scholarship. For sports or academics. I chose to slack off after a while. I was bored, unchallenged.

I'm like travis though. This is a Hobby. Computers is a hobby too, that was my first carer , and i hated it!
Farming is my true passion.
But the thing is, you have to be smart to farm or do any farm work, which is why it goes with my thought of education for what I like.
I like to know a decent amount about everything. Jack of all trades.
Which makes me the irritating a**hole in conversations, cause they try and switch topics to get me to stop talking, but I still know more than they do on it. haha.

People dont like that, Dont be that guy, leave it to me! haha.

Ohn a side note, It snowed here last night.
After rain and melting.

Going skiing tomorrow again.

I almost cannot sleep until I get my new clutch.
Ug
And chasing after this girl is wearing me out. =(

can all you guys call her and tell her to dump the chump? haha

Justin, my bba is also collecting dust but I'm glad I have it. What is your masters degree goin to be? Travis, learning stuff that your not interested in is boring but the pay off is better, especially in this economy. Three weeks of parting and one week of studying isn't a bad life. The real payoff is when it starts getting warm out in the spring and all the girls come out of the dorms in their bikin's to lay out in the sun. That picture is still burned into my brain!

Kris, that sux on the new bumper. shoulda painted it a bit better. haha.

William, the tag is all Glenn's fault for sure.

Glenn, to tell the truth, i had my partying and decided it wasn't worth it. i get dumb when i party. if i keep up the partying then i fear i will end up like my dear father did. which is NOT a good thing. LOL. if i end up in college i will work, skool, sleep, work, skool, sleep, and repeat... just how i am. i would prolly stop workin' on the ol' truck too.... we will see what i end up doing.

I know you would, to bad it doesn't work that way.

The guy is supposed to be some sorta awesome diesel mechanic, and he doesnt' even drive a diesel, or wrench on them. He drives a propane truck.

DOH!
Lives at home with mom and dad and is over 30 as well.
