Travis I'm going to have to say I hate you (very sarcasticaly of course) if you end up with said spinny thingy that is belt driven... lol If such a thing happens then I think I'll have to much catching up to do before this summers road trip, might end up being not so close of a race if said race were happened haha.
Glenn is right. You are very intelligent. You could go far in the diesel world. With the right education, you could be the next engineer for Ford.
Well i gave A LOT of thought in going to UTI or Wyotech or a bigger college, but i see it like this and this is why i declined going to those places to pursue a career in the diesel world.
Its actually very simple, this is my hobby. i love fiddling with diesels, hangin' at the DRD shop, going to the next diesel event, and ultimately building my truck. I feel that if i was to start making money at it then it would become much less fun and more of a rush to get it done kinda thing and i would lose interest in this all together. i don't want to lose this as there are a lot of awesome ppl in the diesel world. i like to simply get on here after work and talk with everyone and see what the next big thing is thats going down with the PSD. I THINK i would be good at something like your talking about Sam, but my life comes first. i would rather have fun and do what i love than to lose one of my greatest hobbies due to a career. i make it along just fine where i am right now and i still have TONS of fun with my trucks. LoL.
thats just the way i thought of it. also, i goofed off in high skool a little to much and woulda ended up having to start in a smaller skool then transfer and all that jazz. i know i was capable of straight A's in high skool, but i was dumb enough to goof off instead of doing my work.

after hanging with Danny for hours upon hours this last weekend, it will be happening brother. i talked with Chris at TSD a lot too and even a set of twins will be too much lag for what i want and will be more expensive than say a large spinny thing with a belt attached w/ a GT45 or S475.. LOL. heck next time i see Danny i'm going to see if he will take me for a ride in his 6.0 so i can see how the EGT's and lag is. probably very very minimal. he said the EGT's were still controllable running on just the PC w/out the turbo. that should give you an idea of how badass they are.

What are you planning on running for injectors for all that air your planning? And what are you expecting said spinny object to put out for cfm's?

LoL. kool thing is all my friends from high skool all complain about not having money for this and that when their parents are paying their rent, phone bills, insurance, truck payments, etc. i'm still driving the same old truck that they made fun of when i first bought it b/c it had 250k miles on it. now they all have new trucks and stuff and still can't keep up. they say its too fast!!!! hahaha. and i have my money to pay my own insurance, phone, go fast parts, fix up my F-150, etc. LoL

said spinny object will be around 1650cfm-1850cfm all by its lonesome.. LOL. for injectors i was thinking i will start with 300/400's and see how it does. hoping to be able to supply the air that these things need without the use of nitrous. you know that all these guys are running these injectors with a big azz turbo and still throwing nitrous at it. well the said spinny thingy with a S475 or similar should take care of the need for the nitrous due to loss of atomization from the nozzles if my calculations are correct.
Ya i got prety dam lucky I will admit it. My dad bought my truck 4 months before with 24,000 on it and then once i got my license gave it to me with 42,000. And i live at home so they don't pay my rent or for my school or my bills but I admit I lucked the heck out with my truck.

they will fit into the FAST catagory from my understanding. more talking with Jim on this later down the road. i believe that danny's using the F-1A which is 1650cfm on his 6.0 w/ the stock turbo and was using 280cc injectors or something like that. it cleared up the smoke INSTANTLY and no smoke to be accounted for running down the track. so i figure for a 7.3 give it a little more air for about the same amount of fuel and should get close to the same out come. his truck was running low 12's with the stock turbo with said spinny thingy..
See i would love to be able to puch my truck to that point but i can't afford the tranny to hold up to that yet. If towing was still booming then I'd be making a pit stop on either the way down to or the way back from TX to stop and talk with Brian lol.
