How bad does he need money? Look it up online and see what it sells for new.

hardware shouldn't be anything but bolts and washers and nuts. offer him $100. it's worth the $150 though i'm sure. i'm not to fond of the bolt on guards. i love the ranch hand full replacements. i'm going to put a full replacement on my little F-150. LoL

the probably with the bolt ons is if you bump something with them and bend something they will never look right again.

I might just have to take you up on that. I'm thinking about just buying this swap set just to have it, as long as I can get him down to about $450 I'll pick it up when I go to grab that motor in the next week or so. And I'd love to not have to worry about my tranny blowing up when i get the tunes for my two's in the next week. But hey what can you do, not worth complaining just grin an bear it and make sure when i get my other truck that it's got a stick.

I would think that they were pretty darn close, and even if they were a few structural differences then that wouldn't be an issue cuz i could just fab something up to work with it. I might end up passing this deal up though, if it doesnt hang around for a week or two cuz i just found out that my front end is costing me about $380 and I finally got someone to buy my F5 chip so I can finally get my F6 and get it tuned for the II's. My seat of the pants dyno is a little more important to me than some spare parts laying around to potentially do a swap with lol. Can't wait to see how she runs with the proper tunes and there's a new ricer in town that i just have to show who's boss hahaha

Travis, why is it that everybody says that if the fluid is red and doesn't smell burnt, its fine. But, that nice looking, smelling fluid once dumped out is almost black in color? I'm thinking that people get fooled into thinking that their fluid is OK when really its not. What do you think?

Haha ya it's inevidable at this point... I don't think I'm gonna be buyin a BTS this time around unless I sell a bike or two but before I make the journey south I will have addressed this problem with atleast a racerx rebuild. I know a guy up he that has a good rep with the e4od but is gass job mud trucks, but I figured they can't be to much different inside and those mud trucks pump out 800 horse all day so I might give him a try cuz he gave a deal and a half on the job.

technically that is true. if it doesn't smell burnt then yes its probably decent, but if you know that your hard on your vehicle, in turn getting the tranny hotter than normal then you should probably check and maintain the fluid in the tranny more often than the normal 30k miles. i checked mine the other day with 22k miles on it and the fluid is still very nice and red and smells brand new. so i will wait to change it til after i get it rebuilt(rebuild w/ cryo'd shafts and stuff coming soon along with new Valair dual disc)

thos 800 horse gas burners don't have 1000+tq either. these trucks will look at an input shaft, drum, intermediate shaft, wutever and if its stock and you have 500hp or more the tranny parts will crumble to the ground... not kool. might consider getting your shafts cryo'd w/ the use of racer x tranny parts. i got a place that does triple cryoing for a pretty good price. probably will end up sending a psd block to them to be cryo'd for my build.

Ya i guess that is true.... I really should just spend a good amount on the trans now and just be done with it. I wish that the market for my 4 dirtbikes wasn't such trash and i could get a reasonable amount for them cuz the stroker would be pretty close to a BTS and a new turbo if so. I'll probably just end up giving Bill a call and ordering my parts from him and then rebuilding it myself, cuz i have a spare tranny sitting at my house just waiting for me to tare into it and the one thats in there is still holding up fairly good. So as long as i can get the parts for about $2k and it last me atleast 2 years i would be pleased with it and by then a BTS could be afforded very easily. Do you know how much it would be for me to get my input shaft cryo'd? Just a ball park would be fine, just so i know how much to add to the list that I've got going.

don't remember price per pound, but my guess is about 10-15 bux per shaft. LoL. put it this way, $7.50 for a piston...

hahaha ya, I wonder if they would be just as strong as billet rods cuz that would save a bundle on makin a bullet proof motor. I bet you could save $4500 just by cryoing a bunch of stuff. Thanks for the link, I'll check that out and book mark it for later use.
