14 degrees right now, which isn't too bad, really.
9-14 inches of snow expected starting tonight and into tomorrow. That's going to really, really suck. Going to see if I can sneak out at lunch and fill up the gas can for the snowblower.

You HAD to say that. . . 'dincha'!!!!!!!
My 5 gallon gas can needs filling up, too. I should've done that before gas went up 9¢!!!

LOL yhea, I was kicking myself for not filling up the truck at Christmas, when it was 2.65. The next week it went up to 2.79 and I thought, I'll get it tomorrow, I've got a quarter tank.
Bam, 2.89.
Fortunately, I get my gas at Sam's club, so while the gas station across the street is showing 2.89, I'm paying 2.70. Saves 5-6 bucks per fill up.
10°F here now, going down to -2°F with blowing snow tonight. Wind chills have been -5 to -7°F all day which means I have not set foot out of the house all day except to get more wood to throw in the furnace. It looks like I'm going to be making another wood run when (if??) it warms up.
If you look at the theories about the effects of polar melting - you'll discover a couple of scientists who suggested that we would actually experience these arctic blasts. I believe that it was claimed that the polar ice packs had a stabilizing effect on the jet stream or something along that line. I hesitate to remind y'all that we are way over due for some sort of mini ice age.
And on that note - I'm gonna run before y'all come after me with snow shovels, ice scrapers, and other pointy metallic objects.
Yup Keith.....school's closed here as well. It's a whopping 9° outside now with 20 MPH winds. We only got about 3 inches of snow total but it's on top of the other snow from three weeks ago that hasn't melted off yet so it's drifting everywhere. It's been below freezing for about two and a half weeks now so I'm hoping that it kills off some of the bugs and junk.
