18 degrees here, 30 MPH wind and snowing real hard. Brought a load of firewood to the house with my backhoe around 4:00 PM, can't see the tracks anymore. Lots of drifting.

Wow, John!!!!
How far down in the basement did you have to dig, to find this thread!?!?!?!?!?!

It's 39° and raining, right now.
Weatherman is calling for rain/sleet tonight, and rain and about 48°, tomorrow. (48° will be a heatwave, compared to last week.)

Ccccccccooolllllllld next week. Lows in the 20s and highs in the upper 20s to low 30s!

Looks like winter is comin' to DC!!!!!

Actually, I was going through my subscribed threads and found this one WAY in the bottom of the stack.

Weather's starting to suck here so I thought it would be a good time to resurrect it.

Good time to bring it back

We've had blowing snow since last night. Not too bad right at my house, but it caused quite a mess. They stopped the plows for a while, as well as the bus service, and the airport.

Looked at our DOT site and about half of the state map has little red symbols -- some for danger and some for road closed.

Snow stopped now, but the high on Sunday will be about 5 (if we're lucky)

MN weather dept is doing a bang up job of keeping out the riff raff this year.

Mid 40's.
Pouring rain.
Thank goodness it is not snow!
Was able to get the driveway/open barn area straightened up and blown clear of leaves yesterday as well as hanging the Christmas lights, cleaning the gutters (simultaneous with Christmas lights), and bringing a couple of trailer loads of firewood to back porch.
Now I can stay snug today while it precipitates in whatever form nature chooses.

Well, it's 30* now and supposed to fall into the low teens by this afternoon. And they're predicting 2"-5" of snow for tonight.

Looks like it's going to be a repeat of last winter.
