Lisa my hand is raised but don't think it's sticking out anymore.
Actually the snow isn't bothering me as much as the 4 wheelers in my way every night. ended up passing 6 in 1 shot last night cause the 25-30mph was bad enough but the riding the brakes and slowing down going downhill was gonna kill me.
Just about had me a fairly new Silverado tonight, apparently they could stop pretty well, as they did it on the road with no warning to turn into a gas station... I couldn't get turned, and couldn't get enough braking to avoid, I had to just hope they got the ___ out of my way before I played touch tag with them...
What is really sad is I keep plenty of distance between us usually for such... barely got away from them. I hate dealing with stoplights when it's slick as well... Some of them are short on a major street when it isn't slick , let alone when it is bad out...
I can say though that if your so scared of the roads that your driving slow enough that the cars passing you are only doing 25mph maybe you should stay home (yes that happened last night)
I have seen that a lot too. I managed to get around some of the slow drivers as the depth wasn't bad yet. This morning is a bit different, probably 5" already, no wind... yet. Went to get the lane cleared for my wife to go to work, everything seemed to be fine, go to clear, I had sheared the connector link on the chain for the feeder on the snow blower, so I managed to just push it out of the way rather than blow it. Then found out that her work had gone ahead and taken her off the schedule last night, but neglected to let her know that.... Nice they took her off, but damn!
Well, I managed to do a good one... I had put an old piece of plywood down so I could work on a car in the dirt/gravel using jack stands. It got froze down, so I left it. It isn't froze down any more... it got sucked through the snow blower.... Yes, a 4x8 sheet of plywood.... I had to get it out by breaking part out, then drove the wide chisel through it and it pushed it to the center with the feeder reel where I was finally able to get it out... 7" here, and now windy...
