Winter chat and bs thread...

Ok, the calendar now says it is winter, even though the landscape says it has been for a bit... it definitely could be worse, it waited until December to get going on it...

Spending most of my time in the garage now...Officially hibernating there, lol. At least my '66 will keep me occupied till spring.

I'm attempting to catch up on some of the work I need to get done for the last few months... I have a scrap job that got buried in the last snow, and this won't help any... At least I got the time sensitive part done before the snow. I still have to unload the trailer from the last haul, then go pick up a Blazer for $75...

It was going good. They found a steam leak in one of the pipes going to our turbine. So, we have the turbine shut down, and hopefully they can fix the weld today. Other than that, going okay. Are you guys supposed to get the nasty weather that is coming our way today?

Howdy Iowa folks... been meaning to stop in here, but those Nebraska guys keep me on a short leash... I'm always cutting through NW Iowa, so technically I'm as much an Iowa resident as Nebraska and South Dakota. Gets awfully confusing being in 3 states every day, lol.

I'm hoping that snow storm stays to the south, a little snow would be ok, but not the 15 - 20 inches they are hinting at. The Omaha people deserve it more than we do!

Hey Now! I'd say send it all south into Missouri!

I dunno... I may head to MO to dodge the holidays this year.

I hear they don't get much snow in Arkansas, though. How about sending it there for a novelty?

I was working in brookings, and they didn't get nearly as much, and seemed to think I should get in just fine. I had an 83 Trans Am to drive at the time, and it was over the top of my hood...another time I was running a 78 Cherokee, that thing would just keep on going through about anything...
