I've been under my house all day caulking the furnace ducts. Tomorrow, I get to install insulation over them too.

Newrider 3-
That is the choke heat tube and it needs to be hooked up for the choke to work properly. It should go into the top of the passenger side exhaust manifold. I had to fix mine years ago and there was a kit I got from the auto supply to fix it. IIRC it was in the exhaust section, but I'd just take the pipe with you and ask.

I had fun.
Fixed the heat ( but not the defrosters) in my truck and vandalized a lot of stuff.

I sure am tired though...

the hose:

where it goes:
that is the pipe that brings hot air up to your choke from the exhaust manifold.cool air gets drawn through that orange tube, down to the exhaust manifold the air gets heated and drawn up to the choke assembly.you will have to plug off where that pipe comes out of the choke assembly ,cause the way it is now your sucking in dirty air and have a vacuum leak.

Unfortunately, it is dark green inside. Damn near perfect.

I have a couple of sets of slots, but none have polished out like these. I thinkthey match the trim better. We found them in the junkyard.
