Sounds like a kickass meter, should be no problems there at all. I assume its pretty damn cold up there right now too, hard to do testing in this kind of weather outside.

Yup, the meter is a good one, guess you get what you pay for.

Cold isn't the word for it, -29 & with wind chill factored in, it's -40! Haven't even gone out side yet today, going to wait till it warms up - next spring! LOL Got the poor truck plugged in, sure hope it starts later, as I need to go to town. It sat all day yesterday at -24, not plugged in, and it started fairly easily. Was at a friend's place and no where to plug it in, so was taking my chances.

I been starting to lean towards that your battery maybe hooped. It sounds just like what has happen to me in the past. Bad battery plates in the battery. They make contact when cold and later when you shut it off warmed up . Your have no or nil for power. The vehicle is hard to turn except with a boost. If you can find another battery to use from a friend. If it stays charged and not dies then it is a battery.

I don't know. The only time I had to boost it was last Thurs. when it sat for 20 mins. after running for an hour, then I ran it for about 15 - 20 mins then had to shut it off to refuel, but it started easily again. Today was a little different due to the cold temp. it turned over, then died, but started again on the next try.

I've checked around for a spare battery to swap it with but no luck yet, andI amdefinitely not going to spend $100 to $160 to get a load test done on it!

Bikinis almost never look bad!

Could be the battery, but MOST of the times when the batteries go, they will be really weak and not hold a 12v reading at all.

I guess not all the times though, and I still dont know if thats the problem. My truck does the same thing, and its done it with a few different batteries, including the last new one which i did get load tested and it checked out fine (so the coop in melfort said)

Got good readings from mine

I'm still leaning towards a loose ground or the heater fan, but just can't seem to follow the wiring, as no diagram available.
