Hello, I was referred to this chapter, as I'm in Fort Mac Ab. Glad to know there is a Canadian site. I am a little lost with this forum, having had trouble just signing in - great start! Can anyone direct me to the proper area where I can ask electrical questions, for problems I'm having with my "oldie but goodie" F250. Thanks in advance.
Welcome to the fray! I can say without reservation that the guys on this site have saved me thousands on my truck. Always helpful and they know their stuff. Always glad to see more Canadians on FTE. Post away! Also, Fomoko1 (Morris) is our fealess leader here on the Manitoba/Saskatchewan chapter. If he can't answer your questions, he at least knows where to direct you.
Feel free to ask away, pretty much anywhere in the site. This is a pretty kickass site, and the help (in most forums) is incredible!
Wiring can be tricky. The basics are very simple, but with all the electronics, can make it a pain in the @ss. Ive been tracking down a wiring problem in my 87 f150 farm truck for awhile now. Seems like each time i get close, I tend to find something else to do and I forget about it!

Sorry to hear ya live in fort mac though haha!
Sorry I live here too. Hi all, sorry for taking so long to reply, was out hunting all weekend, and job hunting during the week, now I'm hunting for a needle in a haystack !
Tricky isn't the word! I am now here close to being a mechanic, I have the Haynes book, but can't make head nor tails of what they are saying. Darn thing doesn't even show my system for a belt, (only 1 belt for everything!). Whatever the problem is, it's now affecting the amount of air the heater fan puts out, and it's getting f****g cold. So far all I have been able to do is remove the neg. cable from the battery when I get home, and then re-attach it in the morning. So far, it's still starting, but this is just a bandaid.

My apologies for not getting back to you all, sooner. Have been job hunting, moose hunting, and now I'm hunting for the "needle in a hay stack".
I am the farthest thing from a mechanic, so this is not fun.
I have the Haynes book, but it doesn't even show the belt system for my truck, (only 1 belt). So I'm getting pretty frustrated. This is my only set of wheels, and I live out in the country, no bus service here.
This is the 2nd time I have tried to reply, sorry if it comesthrough twice, not computer literate either!
No problem, better to post twice by mistake than none....
Try this again, 3rd time. Seems I am not able to post unless I click on the quote button. Am I being blocked somehow? I did post earlier, but it didn't show up, then the next time it came up and said I wasn't logged in???? Almost as bad as trying to find the elec. problem
first off if you have to login everytime put a check mark in the remember me box.
well maybe i can be of assistence. what problem are you having? its with a belt serpentine belt right? what year make and model are we working with? engine size and accessaries. and we'll try to help. ok?
