Well, motor is out and on the ground... lesson learned... Don't forget to remove the oil filter prior to TRYING to pull the motor out of the hole...
I will say, over all its not any worse than pulling a carburated Big Block Chevy. I was pleasantly surprized... Didn't even remove the front support. Sure is a long way in the air to have a motor though...
Next, gotta order the new motor, swap some parts over and stick it back in the hole.
Block is broken just below one of the BORE's, looks like thats where the coolant leaked in... Pretty much toast... The pistons also got beaten by the rods...
Don't really know a lot yet... Have to pull the crank and pistons to see exactly what happened... Not going to dive into it until I get my new motor here, so that I can just move parts over at the same time. I will inspect further then.
Next question, how do you undo the stupid bolts that hold the Pulley on the Water pump? There are 4 bolts, two of which are too close to the HEX shaped shaft.
An open end wrench just rounds the edges. The box end wont fit between the shaft and the bolt...
Man, wish you lived near me, I'd be taking a couple days off to come over and give you a hand. Granted it sucks that your truck went boom and you have to fork out some $$ to fix it but the sheer excitement of a new motor must have you excited. I know I would be.

Ya, kind of excited, but still scared I'll just blow this one up. I guess if I do, I could just pull the injectors and sent it back under warranty...
It does come with the forged rods, so "SHOULD" take the power I am going throw at it...
