I don't think it should be an US against THEM thread. I think we should post information to give the V-10 more power or more milage. Just like the thread states. JMHO
I agree 100%, but everytime someone says something for that person to try the OP comes back with well in my cummins bla bla bla. If he was really intrested he would have come to the v10 forum and read up some, it seems to me he is just baiting us into a fight. There is a lot of good info in the v10 forum.
Fair enough for your thoughts. I am living proof that diesel is cheaper though. PM me if you want to discuss it.LOL
That depends on the situation. I'm sure for those who buy new and trade in after a couple years probably wouldnt pay for itself. I havent run the numbers but I'd think it would pay for itself if you hauled heavy and lots of miles and kept her for a while with few major problems. Your diesel is a tad different than the new ones... and I would figure cheaper to maintain than a 6.0 or 6.4.

6.7 better than the powerstroke or duramax? Thats news to me Why would dodge get rid of something that works? Well for one I doubt dodge could design a good diesel if they tried. Why did dodge get rid of the 5.9 then for the pos 6.7? 5.9 was a great motor and so was the 7.3 powerstroke. The new ones both have issues, though the main shortcomings with the 6.4 can be remedied but voids the warranty. I never claimed to be bright but at least I didnt buy a dodge And I dont want diesel anyhow.
