I've got a complete rebuilt 239 in my '51. I'll likely never get back to it. Not really even sure what she's worth either..... My son and I had talked about dropping the 7.3 IDI and tranny that's also sitting in the barn into the ol' truck instead. I'm a little more familiar with the diesels. PM me if you're at all interested. I also have a good 239 block sitting in the barn. $50 sound reasonable?
Hey Fullcrew - I'd be intersted in both. Shipping might be a challenge, but everything's doable!
Are you saying the truck you put the rebuild in isn't finished? What's left to do? Any photo's? When was she rebuilt?
The block - has it been checked?
Thanks!
e-tek, you might want to go with Ryan's as it's right next door for you. If that doesn't work out, let me know. As for my truck, I rebuilt the mill in '99, not the truck. It was my last project while working in an automotive machine shop. I'm not a body man, so I've got a lot of work to do there on the ol' girl. Not really rusted, just a bit beat up as it was a farm/work truck. I also don't have a box, but that's OK, I want to put a deck on it.
E tek my uncles estate sale is gonna be in carrot river. Im gonna keep everyone posted with stuff that is out there, when I get time to go and take more pictures, or the auctioneer gets some pictures, so just be sure to check in on this chapter every now and then!
