She finally fired today!! Had to re-lace the distributor since I took it out for paint. Then I had to pour nealy a gallon thru the carb to get it to suck from the tank....but then she runs like a TOP!!!

Too bad water is now pouring from the centre of the rad.....no damage I can see, but there's a hole in there somewhere. And it was SUCH a beeatch to install too. Maybe I'll try some oatmeal first

Anyways, thanks again to Morris and Chris and the rest ....

Just got my bumpers back for my Galaxie too - I'll be putting them together this weekend and then I'm back to cruising for the summer. Lots more time too with the new job!!!

It`s always soooooooo great on the first fire up! The weather is really nice this weekend for that first run.
My 56 didn`t want to run at first but changing the fuel pump meet with success!

I`ll keep my eye open for a neat old Ford once you decide on what you`d like to get him.

Put some BarsLeak in and it seems OK. Re-installed the hood and bumper and it'll be on a 2010 maiden voyage tomorrow. Gotta pick up bumper bolts for the Galaxie. Then All my rides will be back to functional and upgraded to boot! I'm a lucky man.

Next weekend I have to start on my Honey-do list (or else!)....

Isn't the Swap Meet next weekend?

Wow, sweet Chris but I think it`ll take some big bucks for a 49-51 Mercury .....unless you know where to find a really good deal.
It`s supposed to be nice weather for your truck`s 2010 maiden voyage tomorrow Ed. I won`t be able to get away till late morning or after dinner.
My 56 isn`t road ready yet, maybe another month or so, tho it would be really cool to go for a cruise in our three 50`s. Let`s see if we can do that sometime early this summer.

That sounds great! If everyones up to it, we should pin down a meeting soon. Get everyones rides out. Thought: How's Saturday or Sunday morning for coffee? Might be easier than an evening.....

Had everything thing out today: The E-tek Trifecta! Took the Merc to PartsPlus to get bumper bolts and oil for the Galaxie. Then put the bumpers on the Galaxie and took it to Canadian Tire and a few errands. Then took the Challenger for a spin around town. Finally, had dinner in our "new" tent-trailer camper - the boys loved it. Great day!!!

It`s good to hear you had such an awesome day and drove all of your toys. More pics, possibly one of your grin plastered to the windshield on that first drive.
I took my 68 Mustang convertible for a top down spin this afternoon since it was such a great day for it.
Sat or Sunday mornings or evenings usually work for me. We`ll have to drop a new thread on this soon.
