How do you guys clean the CDR in your trucks? I figured it wouldnt hurt to pull mine off and clean it, but i dont want to mess it up and end up having to get another one.

just keep flushing it out with gas and let it air dry, dont use compressed air, due this every oil change.

Let it soak in Gasoline for a few hours, ones in a while during that time take it out shake it, and put it back in the Gas. After a couple of hours take it out, let dry on it's own (DO NOT blow compressed air into it) and re-install.

CDR= Crankcase depression regulator. Allows engine gases to return to the air intake while keeping engine oil in the engine.

Also, a Diesel engine version of the PCV valve on a gasoline engine.

John I saved your picture since it has a perspective that us F series drivers never get to see.

Hope you don't mind if I point out a few more things and use it to show where the oil pressure sender and I can even see the plug where the 6.9 glow plug controller would be located.

No Problem at all Dave, if anyone else wants it to show differrent things off of it that's perfect! That's what I wanted to do my self anyways lol, I got a couple more pics of the engine at different angles to.

The CDR pointed out is a good thing, we never see it from that angle in our trucks.

Yes that is correct.

I have seen both the Ford and International numbers posted before, but I never saved them.
