Hole?!?

Alright so I'm cleaning my CDR, I use a vacuum to clean the valley so I don't drop to much in there. Closer to the fire wall after the CDR valve hole there's a hole like 3/8" in the intake valley under the glow plug relay. Is it supposed to be there?

Is hat where any liquid in the valley pan will drain out the back of the block? I just woke up from a nap after 3rd shift so I may be crazy lol.

x2 on a drain hole being there to let liquids drain from the valley pan, sounds like the right place.
