Oil in intake??

I have some oil in my intake. I'm assuming it's from my cdr valve going bad. I ordered a new cdr valve and connecting rubber pieces. Now before I put the new stuff in and run the beast is there a way I should try and clean the oil out of my intake manifold. Also I've read about cleaning the cdr valve every second oil change, but the old fourm I read never specify what to clean it with. They just state thinge like don't use gas or diesel because there's a rubber diaphragm and that will destroy it. So if anyone knows it would be a great help so I don't have to spend an extra 100$ every other oil change.

The only thing the cdr does is acts as a baffle and when air flows backwards it closes. When I was vacuuming out valley pan grommet on my turbo idi I noticed flow through it and it closed after a couple seconds.

There will always be oil in the intake from the cdr

How much oil is normal because mine has so much that when I touch the grill it gets on my fingers and it is all over the bottom ring of my air cleaner. When I say ring I mean where the air cleaner meets the grill that is under the nuton the top of the intake manifold

This is an na with the factory cdr location? I know my old turbo would get oil all the way to the air filter even with a cold air setup and I have no idea how

I've only run the CDR that came with my pickup, and also the one that came with my used turbo kit, but my experiences are the same as you guys. Always oil in the intake.
Now with the turbo always oil into the turbo. And even has turned the clean side of my air filter dark grey, no idea how that works...

that is normal. i get about 100,000 miles out of the CDR before i need to change it due to a ripped/failed diaphragm.
i do not wash it, i simply pour out the oil inside it and put it back on.
