I just wanted to give a big thank you to all you guys on this forum! I was having problems with my T19 going into gear; I was about ready to rebuild it to the tune of $500. A couple searchs on here showed me that it was probably the firewall cracked around the master cylinder. Sure enough, I go outside, and that's what the problem was! $17 bucks for a repair plate(part # E3TZ-7K509-A) from Ford, a Sunday afternoon, and my tranny shifts like a dream!

Raise the hood, have someone push the clutch to the floor while you watch the clutch master cylinder.
If it moves more than a very slight amount, the fire wall is cracked.
First sign of the problem, truck seems like you need to push the clutch pedal through the floor to get it in gear.
