How much "color" did you add to get the correct match

I haven't sprayed it yet so I can't give an honest opinion on that. If I were to spray it I would mix a half gallon at a time. I would roll it on again after seeing how easy it went on.

Do you find that if you spray it on you can mix the whole gallon and do the entire bed in the 20 minutes, or would you still suggest mixing 1/2 a gallon at a time if spraying on?

Mix it in half gallons and spray it that way. It is very thin when you first get done mixing it and slowly starts to set up. From what I can tell spraying it on should be very simple. Also if you mix a full gallon it is going to be a very full hopper on the top of that gun. A 1/2 gallon will be a little easier to handle.

What did you use to "grind"?

50 grit on an air grinder

That's one amazing looking truck you have man. Great addition to your fleet.
Thanks.

Well it was automatically a correct match because it was left over paint from when I sprayed it. I did not have any mixing cups left so I cut the top off a Pepsi can an added 1 full can to a half gallon. It is close to the same amount of black color supplied by Al's.

That's all I got as well but wanted to make sure it had enough color. I don't think it will affect the drying of the product as I stopped by the shop tonight and it looked pretty good.

Yeah. IIRC they said to double up the amount of color to get it right

I sold it a while ago to a guy in PA if I recall. Definitely went to a good home. He pulled the body from the frame and restored the frame. This is one I should of kept.

IIRC you used to sell Al's Liner. have you ever had the black additive leak from the container? I had it happen to a few and gave the white shelves a nice new color.
I have yet to call them about it...not bashing at all, in case someone takes this the wrong way...great product!

Yes I sell Al's. Not sure why yours leaked but if you call them directly they will probably send you a couple new colors.

Yes he called me telling me he was going to sell it. Kind of surprised the interior wasn't finished, that was just about done when I sold it to him. I seem to recall that had black XLT door panels all the way around to, all in great shape.
