What kinda relay do you have running that Tauras fan? Do u have it wired up for high and low? I think I burnt up 3 of them suckers already.
I just have a thermostatic switch running it. Otherwise no relay at all. Only wired for one speed. Is there a more waterproof fan out there? I would really like to get a dual fan setup, that way I'll wire one to a switch and one to the thermostat. That way I'll have some sort of back up.

Well, are you sure the fan is shot and not the switch? and Do you have the high or the low wired up on the fan? Those fans take alot of amps on startup, and can burn out switches easily.. I'M using some 80 amp contunuous duty relays and a 3 position switch to turn them on, so I have low and high use of the fans... that said, with two of them on my wheeler, I only need Low most of the time..
Well I guess I assume its the fan. I can hear the switch turning on and off as I adjust the temp, and the hot wire gets power when the switch activates. So I tested the connector next which tested out fine. Then I direct wired the fan to the battery and it still didn't turn on.
So you run your fan all the time? I like having mine switch on and off as needed. I've never even had the fan turn on during highway driving. The fan also didn't really turn on all winter. I'm sure summer will be a different story though. I already have a 3 positions fan switch I used to use in my drag car so I may just rewire things a bit this time around.
maybe you should wire up a big warnin light to the dash, so when your truck reaches a certain temp, the light comes on to warn you. that way you dont have watch the gauge the whole time.
