Well Friday after I hooked the generator up, I drove up to Stanley to spend time with the Family. Came back yesterday afternoon. I had a friend go to the house and check on the generator, and when he got there the power had came back on, so he unhooked the generator for me.
Holy ****!!!! Spend much time on the computer? Lol. I have a pritty good "to do" list I want to get done this week. On the DD, I want to swap to a 180* thermostat, and move the O2 sensor in the exaust pipe a couple inches so it gets a better flow of exhaust gas. On the wheeler, I want to get the crank put back in the motor with new bearings, than get all new gaskets installed, and the motor put back in the rig. I want to go wheelin next weekend ( not this comming, but the one after)
At the "Desert" there is some hills, not big ones mainly the river bank, so its sandy. Than in the trees down there, there's a lot of logs to climb on witch is fun. I think by far, my Favorite spot so far is Glendive MT. Though I am headed there for Memorial weekend. There are some big STEEP hills out there. Its great! In some spots though, its nice to have nerves of steel.
Glendive, would require atleast a rear locker I'd think. Mainly because of flexing the rig out. Forward movment would stop easily with open diffs. The Desert, lots of people go there with near stock rigs. Hell, I've had lots of fun down there in a S10 blazer with a welded rear axle and 235/75R15s. But, don't really need big tires.
Desert, yes. Glendive, possably. Hard to say for sure. I'm sure you could do a lot of stuff out there that way, as long as ur drivin skills are top notch.
In Glendive, on the hills I don't think you would get stuck. Just might not be able to go up them. You can go down any one you want though. Goin down is easy!
