Well I'd prefer the d60 but a d44 would work fine. I would really like to find a pair that have 4.10's or higher gears than my 3.55's

You mean lower gears? Lower gears = higher #

lol. umm... i didnt know there was a 10.25 that wasnt a full floater... any way i can tell? oh, isnt just the little deal on the end cap that looks kinda like this: --O-- ?

Big hub that sticks out = full floater, if it looks kinda like a 9 inch or 8.8 axle (just more lugs of course lol) than its a semi floater.

ive only seen a handful of chebbies with the semi floater... and yes, mine is a full floater. which means i could do the job in bout an hour.

I don't remember what year they stopped it, but we had a 88 F-250 that was a semi floater. So I take it you are thinkin bout welding it up.

thinkin is the word. might see if i can find another carrier first though and weld it up, then keep the original, that way, since it IS for sale, i can put the other one back in it.

no. i was thinkin bout my old explorer. if my 91 is an LS its long wore out. and if it was, id go buy a new clutch pack for it.
