118.75$ closer to my van turbo and sticks! Had a 9 hour day today.
Unloaded a hydraulic auger for the skidsteer, a large bit for it (36 or 48" I want to say), and a bucket with teeth rather than a smooth cutting edge bucket.
And I pushed the trailer back a little so that the jack wouldn't sink into the mud any more. Then the sun came out and I mowed all the roadsides near the farm. Then I mowed the farm house and barn lawns. Then I did a ton of string trimming. Then I used the skid to load cow crap into the bucket of the loader to transport it to another location where it can rot. All I can say is thank God for enclosed cabs. There was a LOT of flies on that crap. After that I hosed off both machines very well. Then I moved around a few things with the skid, closed things up, and went home.
It was a long day and what is essentially a straight piped Ford 5610 tractor is LOUD. Dad (yes the bossman not me blaming him) didn't open the door far enough when he went to back the tractor into the barn and the exhaust sticks up over the ROPS. He knocked it and it sorta ripped the exhaust along the back side. So for a while I was eating the exhaust til everything got good and hot and then the muffler flopped even more forward so nothing flows through the muffler now.
There's some reading for you to do. And tomorrow I'm going to be loading up a ton of stuff onto a flatbed trailer to head out to the auction yard. All stuff we don't need like the service box off our project truck, an extra bush hog, a few auger bits we have duplicates of or don't use, and whatever else dad has me put on there.
Sale is on the 26th and 27th in North Franklin, CT if anyone is interested in going. I'll be there both days. The big toys get sold over the ramp on Friday and the small stuff gets sold in place on Saturday.
