andy i found out i could have bought cheap tickets through work to go to the races with you. way too much stuff to get done though. i will get down there someday!

Evening guys got my truck back from ford but its still missing some parts buts it is drivable lol

 

Matt what parts are you missing?

 

Well when i had them do the bearings i forgot about the outer bearings and they had thoes, iam missing only on passenger side hub is, a snap ring and 3 or 4 washers and or spacers. So apearently i have been driving it like that for bout 2 yrs, ford asked me if i wanted to pay 240$ for a front end kit that has the missing items and clearly i said no. I went to chuck n eddies in southigton and found a truck in the yard with a dana 50 front axle and same hub as mine, i was o a strick time limit and had verly little tools, couple of screw drivers and some allen wrenches and i was not able to get past the first metel ring in the junk yard.

heres where iam missing the parts

Remove the hub cap (3 screws on mine 6 on others star shaped) then you have that first metal ring(pain in the a** to get out) when thats removed that allows you to remove the i guess hub cylinder and gear i think, then you should see a snap ring and after the snap ring should be washers or spacers, i dont have the snapring or washers, my driver side does. The nice people at ford let me in the shop so the guy could show me what the problem was which was pretty cool never been allowed back there. So i guess on tue if i get out of work early ill head back to the junk yard with the propper tools and rip that axle apart and get my parts. lol i know alot of crap i cant help it.

I know lol, 4 little pieces and my front end is done, its hard to hold back from breakin into the junk yard and getting them cuz i know it will only take bout 3 mins with the right tools lol.

 

Think of the money that you will be saving as well.....

Well, guys work starts tomorrow. $$$ in the bank! Tomorrow looks to be a day of mowing and dodging more of the r word.

 

What will you be doing for work Pete

 

Working for dad. He let his (ex) full-time employee go a month or so ago. He is now behind in work. I am now the replacement.

Tomorrow is mowing. Later we're installing a split rail fence there.

And I am hoping to pick up a side job moving a few bushes. Should be worth somewhere around $300 or so.
