Naw, the hippy car probably won't be able to catch my truck at least not in top speed. Gearing would probably max out at a mere 120 MPH or less. Still looking for the right motor and still holding out hope that I can get one with everything I want. I can afford to wait a little longer, but time is running out. Might have to settle for a lower tech setup.
Not sure where my truck would max out. I think Dave pulled up one of his spreadsheets and came up with 147 MPH or something. I think I've been to about 100 so far. Pressed the needle up against the trip meter reset button then gave a little more.
Funny how these trucks seem to smooth out above 80 MPH. Anyone else notice that?

mine also seems pretty smooth above 80, especially when i see the speedo bury past 85 it really suprises me how nice it rides, and mines 4x4 with 33 inch tires, but only on stright rodes is were it handles really good, when i get on a curvy road i cant go real fast on sharp curvs cause mine sets up so high.
